What are the properties of essential oils?

The most used essential oils

- Essential oil of eucalyptus. This oil is a general deodorant and antiseptic, especially of the respiratory and urinary tract. It also has a soothing, healing, antirheumatic, bactericidal and hypoglycaemic effect, among others. You can also use it to fight sores, burns, inflammations or to ward off mosquitoes, for example. It is also used to massage athletes.
- Essential oil of lavender. It is antispasmodic, analgesic and a good painkiller. It also works as an insecticide, healing and can help you fight migraines. If you use it when bathing or showering, its relaxing and sedative properties can help you fall asleep.
- Less essential oil. It is very rich in vitamin C, which makes it an ideal essential oil to combat varicose veins and wrinkles, as it has a rejuvenating effect. It also helps to increase the body's natural defenses, mental concentration ... The classic properties such as antiseptic, depurative, antirheumatic or bactericidal, are also present in this oil.
- Geranium essential oil. It is a good antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic or fungicide. The only important indication is that its use should be avoided during pregnancy, since it could affect the correct development of the fetus.
- Citronella essential oil. Repels and drives away mosquitoes and fleas. Not only that, but it also helps to soothe the bites and irritations caused by these insects. It also acts as a deodorant and reduces sweating. This oil is only for external use, in no case is it recommended to consume it.
- Tangerine oil. It is a powerful soothing and relaxing, so it is used to promote the proper functioning of the nervous system. It is useful to reduce stress, worries and prepare your body to enjoy a good restful sleep.
